As I turned to walk away
But my eyes looked back in search of you.
Trailing this journey so far,
Memories weighing down heavier too.
That home, that refuge,
You searched everywhere, trying to find.
So close, and yet so far away,
You forgot to look inside your mind?
And so, like these beautiful earthly things,
Truly loved, but possessed in vain,
You will be mine; just like the evening sunset,
The gentle breeze, the monsoon rain.
